    Can we see the 6ah forge vs 8ah forge? Same price, theoretically better quality cells in the 6ah with pouch cells

      Same power output only differnce between the two is the 8.0 will give you some more life. You will not see power/performance jump until the 12.0, the 6.0 and the 8.0 produce same power as an OG 12.0 HO roughly.

      Hey brother! So the 6.0 and 8.0 forge battery’s produce the same amount of power hence the consistent $200 price tag for either of the two. The 8.0 battery will just last longer and has a tad more weight than the 6.0 but no performance difference. However, The 12.0 forge is a huge jump from both the 6.0 and 8.0

    I've had so many issues with my 8 and 12 batteries. I was told the cells get out of balance and thats why they wont charge to 100%. I wonder if the forge batteries will help with reliability.

      Theyre not the same cells, and i have had this issue as well.

      Came here to also complain about the 12ah HO. I'm going to hold off and see if the reliability is better in this generation of batteries

      Same. Replaced all my HOs with comparable Forges. Time will tell but the lack of heat production compared to my HOs is encouraging.

    I’ve seen several impact battery tests running lag bolts, but I understand why.
    Maybe some torqued fasteners?

    I have a pair of the HD 12.0 batteries and have been happy with them but I think I'll still pick up a pair of the Forge 12.0 batteris when they become available. Hopefully they're not overly priced and are actually available on release date.

    Will all depend on price. I have O8aH heavy duty batteries for my brushcutter, which only give me 20mins run time each. Was thinking about getting O12aH heavy duty, but if Forge is 30 - 40% better, I may buy them instead. Price depending of course!!

    I would like a forge m12 6.0.any chance of that happening?

    • @anthonybarker9123
      @anthonybarker9123 Месяц назад +1

      Not likely. Either option would leave the main body of the battery open (was designed for 3x18650 cells), and the 21700 cells and pouch cells would only fit in the base. But it *is* possible that we may get an M12 4.0 forge (21700x3). From my understanding, the tabless design is only going to be used on 21700 and larger cells.

    • @Dexter_Solid
      @Dexter_Solid Месяц назад +1

      tabless 18650 cells exist, an M12 forge is fully possible.

    Use solid hard wood. Makes the saw work harder and will give better results

    • @jps101574
      @jps101574 Месяц назад

      But it isn't consistent. Regular wood has hard and soft spots and could skew results.

      @Dexter_Solid Месяц назад +1

      for comparison, the HD 12 is 390 canadan dollars. i recently bought a forge 12 that was 375$, tabless cells are cheaper, so realistically the batteries should be cheaper overall even though theyre using better materials.
